A Natural Progression
Combining a lifelong passion for surfing and the ocean with a love for timber was an organic process for Formatt co-founder Kyal Demmrich.

Formatt was born from a pursuit of function and form, and a minimal design aesthetic with a smart interlocking assembly means just about anyone with any board can now have the perfect rack for their quiver.

Designed and built in Australia using imported timbers, the Q21 Freestanding Board Rack is designed for surfers by surfers.  With no screws, tools or studs, the easily assembled rack can be set up and ready to stack in under 30 seconds.

Strength and durability
The clever design of the Q21 Freestanding Board Rack ensures it’s versatile and strong.  From performance surfboards to malibus, SUPs and everything in between, the Q21 holds up to 21 boards. Designed for strength and durability, with a total weight capacity of 80kg.

Designed for Australian Conditions
Constructed from Formrite® Ecoply F14, the Q21 Freestanding Board Rack can withstand the rigours of moisture, and with the addition of a cross-laminate construction it is also less likely to expand or contract when exposed to occasional rain and temperature changes, making it ideal for long-term indoor and outdoor undercover use.
